- Both faculties and licenses are issues with conditions which must be complied with.
- In the case of consecrated ground in the churchyard. The local clergy concerned are expected to be responsible for the exhumation. The home Office sends a copy of each exhumation licence to the local district council Environmental Health Officer, who effectively acts on their behalf to ensure that the conditions of the licence are met.
